Never before seen design sketches!

The artists and architects have been hard at work designing the temple to make it look more beautiful than any other in the world. Their sketches fill the art room walls with color and wonder, sastric books are stacked high on the large conference table for reference and drawing materials are strewn about as if a tornado hit the room. We have been anxiously waiting for some approved sketches to show all of you what 'out of this world' progress is being made, and now, for your pleasure, we have some.

White Marble Has Arrived

The marble we ordered from Vietnam has just arrived! We will be using it for the inside and outside finishing work. Checking out the marble we noticed how flawless it was. It is completely up to our expectations and we can’t wait to see it glimmering on the beautifully finished temple.

Dates About The Grand Opening

There is a rumor going around that the ToVP is going to be finished by 2014, but in actuality it is going to be done closer to 2016.

I, Mandakini Dasi, sat down with the managing director, Sadbhuja Das, to clear the air and get the facts on the real timeline.

This is a shot taken from the level of the eastern staircase in the temple. On the left, you can see that the casting is commencing on Sri Nrsimhadeva's floor. On the right, you can see the Conch building and the entrance to the existing temple. This picture clearly gives you a marvelous perspective of the height of the temple room floor. Many that come on site are just overwhelmed with its magnitude.

Srila Prabhupada's first visit to the ToVP

Yesterday was the disappearance day of our beloved Srila Prabhupada. For the celebration we invited him to come on his palanquin after Guru-puja to the new temple for a special kirtan and circumambulation. Along with His Divine Grace, devotees were also invited to join the parikrama to the ToVP site. What transpired inside the temple room was a shared feeling of awe and reverence for the vision Srila Prabhupada had for Mayapur.

Trying to follow the prophecy of the acharyas, we are all witness to how the ToVP is progressing each day, and the building is rising from the ground into a true reality. In this regard, many devotees have been expressing their desire to do a program in the ToVP temple room.

2nd Museum Floor is Nearing Completion

Here is the latest image of the construction, and as you can see the 2nd museum floor is nearing completion. We have now begun the placement of the pillars, in order to begin the 3rd museum floor construction.

Here is a new video featuring the new temple, put together by a New Zealand devotee Prananatha Das, in collaboration with Shrisha Das from our 3D department at the ToVP offices. This wonderful video includes footage of the construction site and surrounding areas that was taken from a remote controlled helicopter, capturing beautiful aerial images from up to an incredible 350 m above Mayapur. The video also includes the vision of Srila Prabhupada's temple and how it will look when finished.
